T-SPL Senior Outreach May 2021:
Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, and Ohio Day Trips
The Extension and Outreach Department at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library allows the Library to come to you! For groups who can't make it to the Library, such as persons with disabilities, home-bound, or those who live in nursing homes or assisted living facilities, our Extension and Outreach Manager Beth Gottfried makes sure you have all the Library materials you need! In addition to making those important deliveries, she gives presentations at these facilities that are designed to rekindle memories and encourage sharing about bygone days, as well as entertain and educate.
Even though Beth hasn't been able to visit these facilities this past year, we want to continue to provide our senior population with the entertaining and educational presentations they get from Beth!
This month, Beth will talk about Mother’s Day, the history of Memorial Day, and several fun day trips you can take in Ohio. She will also talk about this year’s Summer Reading Program, which begins in June, and will show you how to make a beautiful bouquet of paper flowers. An example and instructions can be found below, along with a Mother’s Day word search.
