Wireless Access
Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is pleased to offer wireless access service to the Tiffin community.
What is wireless? "Wireless" refers to a communication method that uses radio signals to send and receive information, much like a cell phone. Using this in the library will enable patrons with their own laptop computers to access the Internet. Patrons use their own equipment within the confines of the library.
What is needed to access the wireless network? A laptop computer with a wireless network (NIC) card or other wireless device. These devices must be compatible with Wi-Fi (wireless) standards called 802.11 B or 802.11 G.
Will the library provide laptops for public use? No, users must provide their own equipment.
Will the library staff help configure my laptop? Library staff cannot help with configuring patron laptops. The library staff can only tell patrons that the wireless network is working.
Is the library wireless safe? Thie wireless provided is an open un-encryted network usable for research. Not recomended for personal banking or any other internet activity requireing personal information to be sent.

Wireless Internet access is provided free of charge by the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library for patrons who have the required hardware and software needed for this service. Wireless Internet access users must agree to the following conditions:
