Teen Week at T-SPL is HERE!
Tiffin-Seneca Public Library will celebrate Teen Read Week February 20-26, 2012 with special events and programs aimed at encouraging area teens to read for the fun of it. Teen Read Week is the national adolescent literacy initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), the fastest-growing division of the American Library Association.
Centered on this year’s theme, “Picture It!”, the weeklong project will encourage teens to read a variety of materials, including graphic novels, books about photography, and more. The library hopes to show parents and other concerned community members what they can offer by hosting special programs and events during Teen Read Week.
All week, teens are encouraged to sign up for the Teen Advisory Board (TAB), will meet on a regular basis to give input on teen programming and teen items, including books, graphic novels and movies. Members will also collaborate on projects aimed at enhancing the Seneca County community.
