Homebound Delivery
Volunteers deliver library materials to the homebound on a regular schedule.

Senior Citizen and School Collections

Collections of books are delivered to area nursing and retirement homes every six weeks. Similar collections are provided to area schools who request the service for either individual classrooms or libraries.

Talking Book Program
Books on cassette tapes are available to those who are blind, visually handicapped or unable to hold a book. This United States Library of Congress service is free to those who qualify. Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is a lending agency for the machines used in this program. The regional library in Cleveland sends books and magazines through the mail to the reader's home.

Programs for Senior Citizens
The senior citizen outreach coordinator presents programs ten months of the year at area nursing homes and senior centers. T-SPL also provides an intergenerational program once a year and a summertime party in the library just for seniors.

Mother Goose Boxes

Mother Goose Boxes, which contain books, a videocassette, an audiocassette and toys all relating to the same theme, are delivered to in-home day-care providers and preschool teachers and kept for four weeks. The library has a choice of fifteen boxes designed for preschoolers, each on a different theme such as seasons, colors, transportation, community helpers, etc.
